Science and Christianity: Not What, but Who and How We Know

I believe that some of the pitfalls in the science-faith dialogue are a result of focusing on what we know rather than how and who we know. Having a deeper understanding of types of knowledge and the ways in which we acquire it is important. Drawing from Christian theology and philosophy, as well as cognitive psychology, I will suggest some approaches that can aid both our understanding of the science-faith dialogue and the faithful practice of our vocations.

Janet Warren (BSc, MD, PhD) was president of the Canadian Scientific and Christian Affiliation from 2016-2020. She lives in Hamilton, Ontario where she works part time as a Family Physician and part time as an independent scholar in theology.
