Cognitive Science of Religion and God’s Two Principles of Natural Theology According to C. Stephen Evans

Cognitive Science of Religion (CSR) examines the neurological basis for religious belief and practice. Some use CSR to “debunk” religion, including Christianity, yet CSR is also a resource for Christian faith as it provides an account of how God’s creative design enables natural theology (humanity’s natural knowledge of God as described in Rom.1:20). Dr Barrigar will elaborate on this theme by integrating CSR with God’s two principles of natural theology as articulated by Christian philosopher C. Stephen Evans.

Chris Barrigar is Pastor of the Church of St Mark and St Peter, Montreal. He is author of Freedom All the Way Up: God and the Meaning of Life in a Scientific Age. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from McGill University, and is a Fellow of the American Scientific Affiliation.
