Panel Discussion: Stories on Science and Faith
Join us to hear four personal stories about the intersection of science and faith. From being curious and growing into careers in biology and environmental sciences, speakers will share about their STEM journeys. In parallel, they will talk about their experiences in faith and spirituality. These two parts can bring conflict or confirmation, so panelists will share the overlap for them. As David Brooks wrote, “Character is not formed by avoiding difficulty. It is formed by navigating it.” So we will come alongside the panelists to hear how they have navigated life so far in the sciences and as people of faith.
Panellists:
- Allison Dunn, Environmental Quality Guidelines Specialist
- Karen Clark, Agri-Environmental Specialist
- Matthieu Delcourt, Assistant Professor of Biology
- Xuhua Xia, Full Professor of Biology
Enter through Parking Lot Door on north side of building. You may want to bring shoes as you will need to remove boots upon entering.
Hot drinks will be provided after Panel Discussion.
