We are reposting an event from Apologetics Canada.

Columbia Bible College and Apologetics Canada are proud to present Dr. Mary Poplin. Dr. Poplin is Professor of Education at Claremont Graduate University. Academically, she explores the contemporary intellectual trends dominant in the various academic disciplines—the sciences, humanities, and social sciences. In 2014, she published Is Reality Secular?: Testing the Assumptions of Four Global Worldviews (InterVarsity Press). In this new book, Dr. Poplin examines four major worldviews—naturalism, humanism, pantheism, and Judeo-Christian theism—and explores their implications for human behavior and the evidence for their truth. She is a frequent speaker in Veritas Forums throughout the country.

On Thursday, March 5th (7pm), she will be speaking on:

The Four Views of Christendom and Origins: Insights Behind the Science vs. Faith Conflict-Conspiracy and What to Do About It

Christians often lose to the conspiracy to define Christendom out of science because we do not agree with one another. Mary Poplin will explain the four major views of origins that Christians believe and share the reality that will help us develop a more united strategy to defend the long and venerable history and current work of Christians in the sciences. She will also share a bit of how this is connected to the humanities. While this lecture is designed for teachers from elementary school to the university it could also be helpful for parents or anyone else who wants to more fully understand the topic.
