Who Is the Modern Day Galileo?

Galileo, a firm Christian believer and brilliant scientist, was criticized and condemned by the church in his day for using scientific evidence to propose aspects of the physical world that seemed to conflict with Biblical orthodoxy.  In some ways, history may be repeating itself as new scientific evidence for evolutionary biology seems to conflict with long-held beliefs in how Scripture is understood regarding biological origins.  There are lessons to be learned from Galileo’s experience.

Arnie Berg recently completed a master’s degree in Bioinformatics to supplement an M.B.A. and Computer Science degree.  He has enjoyed a lengthy career in software and computer system development and supplements his learning with keeping up on the latest developments in the areas of science and religion.
