BIBL 527: “Genesis: In the Beginning”
Origins, identity, humanity, and divinity: these are some of the critical issues addressed in Genesis 1–11. In spite of the importance of these passages, today’s readers often struggle with them, couched as they are in the language, concerns, and literary forms of an ancient culture. Learn to read the text with an eye to its original language, literary structure, and overall message in order to identify its theological significance and discover its relevance for the church today.
